GETTING STARTED
What if I’m not sure what kind of support I need?
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Many people come to Selah Pathway knowing that something feels overwhelming, unsettled, stuck, or ready to change—but they may not yet know how to describe what they are experiencing or which type of support would be most helpful.
Selah Pathway takes a whole-person approach, recognizing that thoughts, emotions, relationships, life experiences, habits, responsibilities, faith, identity, and purpose can all influence one another.
A free discovery call gives us an opportunity to talk about what brings you to Selah Pathway, answer your questions, and explore whether coaching, a particular program or pathway, or another form of support may be the best fit.
There is no pressure to arrive with the right words or the perfect plan.
Sometimes the first step is simply being willing to begin the conversation.
How do I know if Selah Pathway is the right fit for me?
Selah Pathway may be a good fit if you are looking for thoughtful, non-clinical support as you navigate personal growth, emotional wellness, relationships, grief or change, identity, purpose, faith, boundaries, or another meaningful season of life.
Our approach is reflective, practical, compassionate, and client-led. We help you slow down, recognize patterns, explore what matters most, and develop intentional next steps.
A free discovery call also gives both of us an opportunity to determine whether Selah Pathway feels like an appropriate fit for your goals and current needs.
What happens during the free discovery call?
The complimentary discovery call is a brief, no-pressure conversation designed to help us get acquainted.
We can talk about what brings you to Selah Pathway, what you hope may be different moving forward, answer questions about coaching, and explore which service or pathway may fit your current season.
You are not expected to share your entire story during the discovery call, and there is no obligation to continue.
What should I expect during my first coaching session?
Your first full coaching conversation creates space to explore what matters most to you and what you hope to gain from coaching.
We may discuss your goals, current circumstances, areas where you feel stuck or ready to grow, patterns you have noticed, and what meaningful progress might look like for you.
You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.
We begin where you are.
Do you offer online coaching sessions?
Yes. Online sessions are available, allowing you to participate from a private, comfortable location that works well for you.
Virtual sessions provide a convenient way to receive thoughtful support, reflection, encouragement, and practical guidance wherever you are.
Do I have to commit to a long-term coaching program?
No. Support is shaped around your goals, needs, pace, and current season.
Some people may benefit from several conversations around a particular goal or challenge, while others may choose a more structured pathway or longer period of support.
The discovery call can help determine what may make the most sense for you.
COACHING & WELLNESS
How does faith and biblical support fit into mental wellness coaching?
At Selah Pathway, we take a whole-person, holistic approach to wellness.
Rather than looking at one concern in isolation, coaching considers the many areas that can influence your well-being—your thoughts, emotions, relationships, daily patterns, values, life experiences, sense of purpose, and spiritual life.
Mental wellness coaching focuses on practical tools, self-reflection, healthier patterns, emotional awareness, personal growth, and intentional next steps.
Because Selah Pathway is rooted in a Christ-centered foundation, biblical principles may also be woven into the conversation when desired through Scripture, prayer, faith-centered encouragement, and biblical reflection.
Faith integration is never imposed. We begin with where you are and what feels appropriate for your journey.
Selah Pathway services are non-clinical and are not presented as licensed psychotherapy, diagnosis, or mental-health treatment.
What kinds of concerns can I bring to coaching?
People come to Selah Pathway for many different reasons.
Coaching may include conversations around stress and overwhelm, thought patterns, emotional awareness, boundaries, relationships, grief and loss, life transitions, confidence, identity, purpose, personal growth, faith, decision-making, habits, accountability, or simply feeling stuck and unsure what comes next.
You do not need to fit neatly into one category before reaching out.
How do I know if I need coaching versus just talking to a friend?
Friends, family members, pastors, and other trusted people can be invaluable sources of encouragement and support.
Coaching offers something different: dedicated time to slow down, reflect, recognize patterns, clarify what matters most, and develop intentional next steps.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, navigating change, or simply want structured support for meaningful growth, coaching may be a helpful place to begin.
Will Coach Carla tell me what I should do?
Selah Pathway is intentionally client-led.
Coach Carla will not take over your decisions or tell you how you must live your life.
Instead, coaching may include thoughtful questions, reflection, practical tools, encouragement, accountability, and opportunities to explore your choices, values, patterns, goals, and possible next steps.
